Location: Beltsville, MD

Pay: Starting at $28 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift, 2PM - 11PM, Off every other Friday

Our client is a leader in precision manufacturing, and theyre looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join their team. If you have a passion for machining and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview:

As a CNC Machinist, you will:

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines such as lathes and mills, along with manual shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
• Use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
• Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience with CNC machines, including lathes and mills.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and precision measuring instruments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 4th/5th axis CNC machines.
