The primary function of the Lead Heavy Cleaner position is to oversee Steward Heavy Cleaners to assure all scheduled projects each night are completed properly and appropriate safety measures are in pace. Assure proper training of staff, educate on proper chemical use, and assure team adheres to all company and depart policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads heavy cleaner steward team members in the maintenance of kitchen equipment, sanitation, organization, and cleaning. Ensures all kitchen and back of the house areas are kept clean, all equipment is stored in its proper location and cleaned in accordance with the cleaning schedule. Manages the stewarding function in all kitchen areas to promote overall cleanliness, sanitation and compliance with state and local health regulations. Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed in a timely manner. Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Two years’ experience as a Steward, housekeeping, or similar field preferably in a hotel or casino environment.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND PERMITS
Requires valid driver’s license, as management is required to drive company vehicles.
Requires maintaining a valid serv safe certification offered by the company. Requires fork lift certification offered by the company. Required to attend all management classes and training offered by the company.
