ECS is seeking an ARPA-H SETA – Biosensors/Biochemistry Technical Advisor to work remotely.

ECS is seeking a talented and driven ARPA-H SETA – Biosensors/Biochemistry Technical Advisor with a scientific and engineering technical background to join our team in support of ARPA-H. Under the leadership of a Program Manager, you will serve as a Systems, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) advisor providing support and thought leadership for programs focused on developing cutting-edge biosensor technologies.

In this role, you will perform the following SETA duties:

  • Evaluate technical proposals for scientific merit and innovation.
  • Provide feedback, organize reviewer comments, draft recommendations and project summaries, and presentation materials.
  • Perform market analyses, technical due diligence, literature reviews and generate briefing documents summarizing technical topics.
  • Develop technical and administrative programmatic documentation on short timelines to communicate technical approach, progress, cost, schedule and risk for advanced technology integration and demonstration efforts.

Experience/Expertise

  • Expertise in developing biosensors and have breadth of expertise to assess technologies across a broad range of applications.
  • Expertise in multiplexed molecular assays for small molecule quantification and development of data science pipelines for robust analysis of readouts.
  • Experience with both sensor and analysis developments, including mathematical modeling and machine/deep learning.
  • Candidates should have strong technical writing skills, ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences, digest basic and applied research across areas of biotechnology and apply to health capability gaps, and demonstrates a willingness to explore the scientific literature for emerging biotechnology.
  • Intellectual curiosity, willingness to branch to new fields, capability to multi-task, strong writing and presentation skills are required. Initiative and the capability of being pro-active are also required.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and coordination are required.
  • Candidates must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks, such as briefing support and general administrative actions.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000
