Why is this role important :

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Store Operations Joe Fresh, the Visual Merchandiser is responsible for the coaching, training and developing of store colleagues/employees, as it relates to apparel merchandising. Providing support across multiple stores, the Visual Merchandiser will work alongside, creating a dynamic shopping environment that captures corporate visual direction, elevating standards to showcase current trends, product and promotional activities. In doing so, it helps to improve sales and sell through and by extension, the profitability of the entire store.

The successful candidate will work with the Joe Fresh Department Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and partner with Store Managers to establish guidelines, provide training where required, ensuring product presentation standards and timelines are met. They will coach and develop current colleagues and newcomers on setting directives, remerchandising due to sell through and maximize on the selling space within the pad.

What you'll do:

• Coach, train and develop our Joe Fresh Department Managers on creating visual presentations that attract customers, engage buyers and drive sales.
• Partner with Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager & work alongside Department Manager to drive consistency of standards, elevate visual presentations, utilizing inventory on hand.
• Drive promotional execution and excellence in-store with preparation, planning & placement.
• Review the department and backroom standards, ensuring best practices are being adhered to, keeping the customer top of mind and the shopping experience.
• Lead and/or assist with in-store merchandising workshops.

What you bring:

• Visual Merchandising experience in an apparel retail environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• 80% travel within Ontario and occasional out of province travel where required.
