Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Meritus Home Health
This position will be split between inpatient and home health patients.
Under the supervision of the Manager, performs therapy evaluations and provides treatment to patients requiring therapy services in their homes for the purpose of ensuring that patients reach the maximum level of function possible by the time of discharge from Meritus Home Health.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Graduate from an accredited SLP program with a master's degree.
Experience - One year of clinical experience required and Home Health or Acute Hospital preferred.
Licensure/Certification - Current license to practice as Speech Therapist in the State of Maryland required. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. For use of Personal Vehicles: Access to a vehicle and current driver’s license from any state is required. Acknowledgement with signature to “Attestation A” of Meritus Vehicle Management Use and Control policy, which includes guidelines for personal insurance coverage requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of applicable treatment interventions specific to SLP. Demonstrates analytical skills to assess patient, develop treatment plans, evaluation progress and develop alternative treatments plans as necessary. Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary for the establishment and maintenance of effective work relationships and the effective instruction of patients and families.
