BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for the creation of a wide variety of visual assets in all media including print, video, web and interactive. Serve as brand steward building the brand platform, look & feel, through all projects. Coordinate and communicate effectively with business owners, marketing reps, the creative director, writers and production artists to ensure that the visual design successfully delivers on the desired message and business objective.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and/or Advertising preferably from Design/Fine Art Institution or equivalent experience required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years' experience in a corporate or agency creative department required. Cruise or travel industry experience a plus. Global advertising agency experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Must have strong graphic design skills. Capable of leading and executing all creative aspects of a project as needed and have demonstrated an ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a strong business acumen. Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organization and communication skills. Detail oriented with the ability to prepare files that are printer ready and meet exacting production standards. Strong conceptual skills, including creative design solutions within the constraints of the Internet. Exceptional client interaction skills exhibited in past job experience. Fluency in current graphic design practices and web production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to create superior, original designs for Print and the Web; and high quality printer ready files.
Candidate must present a PDF portfolio of sample work to be considered.
Position requires some travel for photography/video shoots on board our ships and/or on location and for occasional organizational activities and events.
