Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Prepares patients and performs non-invasive electroencephalograms (EEG), sleep deprived studies and other tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. Edits and prepares tests, Reports findings and concerns to reading physicians. Cleans and maintains all equipment. Demonstrates excellent customer service, telephone, and computer skills. Performs EKGs or other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Prefer graduate of accredited EEG School.
  • Prefer two years’ experience in the neurodiagnostic field.
  • 2 years experience in the neurodiagnostic field preferred.
  • 6 months experience in healthcare related field required (or medical related schooling, in lieu of experience).

Certification/ Licensure:

  • ABRET Registered or Registry Eligible preferred.
  • BLS required.
