Office attendance will be required for an initial 2 weeks for
training and development. Attendance will be required twice a
week thereafter or as per business requirements.

We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join our Information Services Division as our Head of Digital Architecture. COPFS has over 2,500 users located in offices across Scotland and we provide a wide range of IT infrastructure, information systems and digital services to all our colleagues, external customers and criminal justice partners.
Your role will be to define and oversee our infrastructure systems operate in line with our digital corporate strategy as well as provide expert digital architectural governance and assurance.
You will be joining a team of seasoned IT professionals as well as those who are just starting out their career in a Civil Service IT role. You will be a critical member of our ISD Senior Leadership Team and have plenty of opportunities to utilise your skills and expertise to help lead in delivering a more effective and efficient digital service.
The Information Services Division (ISD) supports and delivers
a range of efficient, resilient, innovative and secure digital
services to enable COPFS to deliver its core services.
As our Head of Digital Architecture, you will be directly
responsible for the design of COPFS digital and IT
infrastructure systems.
You will contribute, connect and
enable the implementation of digital corporate strategies and
visions across COPFS as well as lead and evolve our digital
architectural governance and assurance, identifying and
addressing any architectural risks.
As one of our Senior ISD Leaders, we’re looking for applicants who can evidence significant IT senior management experience
having worked in a corporate or enterprise environment.
You should have knowledge and experience in the application of systems such as:
Microsoft Windows, Active Directory Management, Office 365, (Cloud Based) MS Azure, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, (Domain and
Applications Server) SAN’s, Network & telecommunications engineering, Firewalls and related security protocols, Virtualisation
solutions, Desktops/Laptops/Tablets, Secure information architecture, Enterprise Patch Management, Web & Intranet applications
infrastructure and services.
Possession of global industry Microsoft, professional skills, IT infrastructure and architecture certification and qualifications such as
TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) would also be beneficial.
