This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Assurance Manager to become specialised in the MOD/DIO/USF Facility Management arena. The Assurance Manager role will be situated at one of our USAF sites in the West of England, either Alconbury, Croughton or Fairford. The role is interesting and challenging with no 2 days being the same. It will provide a daily sense of achievement in accomplishing our teams’ outputs in the exciting arena on a busy USVF operating base. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door in a Civil Service Facility Management career with good prospects for promotions.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Lead on asset verification and ESTS alignment. Contribute to the data extraction, delivery, and consolidation of the DIO Maintenance Contract for Planned and Reactive Maintenance through effective assurance to ensure a compliant estate is delivered and maintained. Support DIO management of maintenance contracts to provide maximum service delivery achievement and value for money for our USVF customers.
Leading a team of four Assurance Support staff to carry out effective assurance, reporting and progressing non-compliance, action as necessary; managing risks and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to resolve issues.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
