Join Amazon Japan's Dynamic Transportation Team!

We're seeking a talented Program Manager to join JP Transportation, the core division driving Amazon Japan's transportation network.

In this strategic role, you will conduct iterative simulations in virtual environments using in-house systems to optimize transportation network performance, analyzes and identifies optimal solutions and tactical plans and execution with balancing three critical metrics: operational quality, cost efficiency, and delivery speed.

This role gives you opportunities to improve analytical and project management skills and to have a lot of chances to drive to build the gigantic Amazon’s supply chain network by yourself.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic transformation initiatives for across teams
• Establish governance frameworks and KPIs for transportation network performance
• Drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including C-level and external partners
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex, short-term or long-term programs
• Develop and implement risk management frameworks

• Drive innovation in transportation network design through advanced analytics and emerging technologies
• Architect next-generation logistics solutions incorporating AI/ML and predictive analytics
• Lead organization-wide sustainability initiatives and carbon reduction strategies
• Define and execute strategies for network expansion and capability enhancement

A day in the life

• 9:00 - Review daily action plans and check emails/messages
• 10:00 - Review sessions with upper management to strengthen planning initiatives
• 12:00 - Lunch at Amazon Cafeteria
• 13:00 – Conduct/negotiate with other team leaders to ensure all projects on track
• 15:00 - Monitor progress of implemented projects and provide follow-up as needed
• 16:00 – Propose new business opportunities based on data driven approach.
• 17:00 – Check all daily activities and prepare for the next day

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• English: Intermediate (able to attend internal meetings, able to negotiate internally)
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience
• Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation projects
• Advanced analytical skills including statistical modeling and predictive analytics
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading large teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in global logistics operations and digital transformation initiatives
• Advanced certifications (PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, CSCP)
• Experience with advanced analytics tools (Python, R, Advanced SQL) and BI platforms
• Track record of successful P&L management
• Experience in merger integration or large-scale organizational transformation
