The Cyber Operations Analyst plays in a key role in the protection, detection and response to cyber security incidents within Latitude Financial Services.
This position will support the development and maturity of the threat prevention, detection and response capability for Latitude Financial Services. A key part of this role is working closely with and mentoring a talented team of SOC analysts to manage our security platforms and tooling, as well as identify, triage, manage and prevent security incidents.
In this role, you’ll:
- Analyse, review and responding to security alerts and incidents
- Support, configure and maintain all security detection and prevention technologies deployed throughout the enteprrise.
- Support cyber Threat Intelligence, SOC Engineering and Threat Hunt capability
- Create and maintain operational documentation
- General security initiatives and risk assessments to improve the state of security
- Regular interaction with vendors and security partners
- Embrace the establish culture of continuous improvement, and where possible provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to other cyber operations analysts
- Ensure continuous compliance with policies, standards and best practice.
- Continuous validation and maintenance of incident response plans and run books
About you:
- Experience with working in a Cyber Security Operations Centre
- Experience in managing and deploying security technologies such as Endpoint Security, Web and Mail Filtering, SIEM platforms etc.
- Experience in working with AWS and Azure environments
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to seize the initiative, garner consensus and develop and implement an effective strategy
- Demonstrates a high level of analytical rigor in formulating strategies, objectives and measuring results
- Willingness to challenge and question the status quo, making recommendations for best solutions
- Understanding of cyber security control frameworks and standards including NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27000 series, ASD etc
- Proven ability to communicate to all levels
- Relevant Studies/ Bachelor’s Degree desirable such as CEH, GSEC, GCIH, GCFA.
