Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Order Management

This position serves as primary liaison between transportation team, Freight forwarders, customers and various departments and functions to plan the load planning execution including ensuring timely dispatch of outbound and inbound customer orders and ensuring planning with the foresight that all loads deliver and picked up on time. Ensures customer orders are shipped and invoiced. Demands critical thinking abilities to facilitate resolution to both short term and long term service issues. Administers and processes a multitude of distributor, operator, and national account contracts, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and gross margin integrity.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of an International Load Planning (ILP) desk may include, but are not limited to the following customer service functions: 

• Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads
• Update Oracle Transportation Management System (OTM) with current shipment information.
• Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
• Complete daily logs and trackers
• Identify cost savings opportunities for the company
• Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary
• Provides load exception investigation and reporting
• Weighs alternative financial decisions before taking action
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in order management, customer service, or related roles.
• Experience in Exports/Imports process is a plus
• Experience on SAP is an added advantage. 

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong Customer Service background required, preferably in Supply Chain. A wide and detailed understanding of Exports, Order Fulfillment processes and procedures. 
• Clear understanding of Global Commerce dynamics, Exports process from United States to other countries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity for understanding logistics and sales
• Basic knowledge of MS Office. 
• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and customers.
