Express Employment Professionals of Buffalo and Niagara are recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator for a manufacturer of above ground steel tanks and accessories in Buffalo, NY!
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
Payrate: $22-25/hr BOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties in accordance with current safety standards
- Must be able to operate overhead cranes, and hoists using chain and fabric slings to secure and lift heavy loads.
- Must be able to operate electric and manual pallet truck, forklift, and farm tractor.
- Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
- Operate grinders, saws, brake, ironworker, and drill press.
- Layout, position, roll, align, and fit components together.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
- Set up equipment and weld parts, using Fluxcore welding
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical sketches, and specifications
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as necessary
- Perform periodic maintenance on departmental equipment
- Other duties as assigned and requested.
Education and Experience:
- Certificate from welding trade school
- Two years of related experience using welding/fabricating skills
- Basic math skills
