What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a curious, engaging, and driven Collision Field Paint Trainer to join the Collision Learning & Development (L&D) team. You will deliver training to onboard and support the performance of Collision paint preppers and paint technicians. You will ensure the effective and efficient implementation of our learning programs, including the success of training for New Site Openings. The position can be located in any of our Regional Training Hub Collision Centers (San Jose, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Frederick, CO, Burr Ridge, IL, Houston, TX or Fort Myers, FL)
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging instructor-led training on collision paint processes
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the repair and refinish of vehicles
- Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla’s objectives
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlines
- Assist with scheduling classes, coordinating site visits, and conducting virtual support
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools and Comply with all Tesla safety rules guidelines and standards
- Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environments and perform any additional responsibilities as needed and assigned
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of collision refinishing experience, training experience preferred. Must be proficient in use of automotive paint equipment and materials
- Certificate from Vocational School in Collision Repair preferred
- Proven ability in structuring demonstrations and instruction sessions
- High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Must maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a Collision Trainer
- 60% travel domestically and international based on business needs
- Capable of lifting 50lbs. and driving a forklift
