Description

Splunk’s Mobile Engineering team is looking for an iOS mobile developer to build innovative products that allow our customers to bolster enterprise resilience by simply and securely accessing their data wherever they go. In this role, you will be interacting with product management and customers to understand detailed requirements. You will also work with other engineering teams across Splunk to design and build high-performance solutions. You will be responsible for identifying and defining areas of improvement and work with partner teams to put plans in place to address these improvements.

In this role you will

  • Collaborate with a multi-functional team of product managers, designers and senior engineers to design and implement new features within the applications
  • Build increasingly complex app components and take an app through the entire SDLC, including fixing bugs and improving performance
  • Participate in peer code reviews, and help improve code quality over time

What you'll need

  • 4+ years of experience working with mobile application development
  • Proficient in iOS (Objective-C, Swift) and published an app to the Apple Store
  • Strong experience in building native mobile (iOS) applications with an emphasis on performance and robustness
  • Experience in mobile instrumentation and analytics, mobile app lifecycle
  • Experience collaborating with design and cross functional engineering teams to make the complex simple for the user
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with Protobuf and/or gRPC

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages; Java, Python, Go, Rust, C++ is a plus
  • Additional knowledge around GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus.
