Responsibilities

Understand & follow all safety rules and related procedures

 Works with QE to develop lab procedures, methods and systems.

 Develops fixturing design and improvement with plant and quality resources.

 Usage of good laboratory practices (GLP)

 Tracks job status. Reports status.

 Seeks and drives prioritization on jobs with production teams and quality.

 Develop a working relationship with the Setup and Production. Continuously develops interpersonal skills. Seeks effective methods & communication to maximize job thru put.

 Evaluates measurement requests and seeks clarity, prior to measurement. Drives appropriate documentation of clarifications.

 Utilizes plant resources to support work: Additional inspection, work overflow, and programming as approved by plant management.

 Writes CMM programs using MicroVu

 Writes Infinity SPC Projects

 Evaluates component attribute quality, prior to measurement and clarifies direction for issues.

 Conducts measurement studies for: measurement system analysis, first article inspection, capability, & other assigned studies. Utilizes Greenville Metrology lab to conduct testing.

 Identifies root cause and implements corrective action on measurement issues

 Writes summary reports of inspection. Documents appropriate comments.

 Continuously develops metrology skills: in optical gaging products, all manual equipment, basic programming skills, measurement analysis, Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing, and basic functional testing.

 Ability & willingness to work additional hours.

 Ability to prepare output inspection reports with measurement results and summary comments.

 Any other duties as assigned

 Able to lift up to 35lbs

Qualifications

Knowledgeable on CMM programming and use of a variety of measurement equipment preferred.

 Knowledge of basic statistics preferred.

 Required experience 1 to 3 years in a related position.

 High School Diploma or GED

 Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

 Must achieve QA Level III training.
