GENERAL FUNCTION

The Director of Sales and Marketing oversees sales, marketing, and key account management activities for Optical Lab Software Solutions Inc (OLSS). This individual provides vision and leadership to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans, promoting OLSS products and services to new and existing customers. This role also serves as a critical conduit to senior management, incorporating customer feedback into executive strategy.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Finance and Leadership teams to develop annual sales forecasts and marketing budgets, revising as needed based on business conditions.
  • Manage the sales process, including evaluating customer requirements, creating profitable quotes, and securing signed contracts.
  • Develop and execute marketing activities to promote OLSS products and services, such as tradeshows, customer events, and advertising plans, aligned with the product portfolio and strategic roadmap.
  • Lead a team of strategic account managers focused on building trusted advisor relationships with executive sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to align customer needs with OLSS strategies, negotiate sales contracts, and ensure superior customer experience.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align on customer requirements and execute business plans, including installation and support timelines.
  • Influence business and product strategy decisions by providing customer and market expertise with leadership and internal teams.
  • Grow and develop direct reports through communication, performance goals, and leadership coaching while supporting development initiatives across the organization.
  • Contribute to the company’s group strategy and support long-term success initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in Sales, Marketing, or Strategic Account Management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel for sales, customer visits, and corporate or industry events.
  • Proven ability to lead geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders, including executive and C-level leaders.
  • Solid experience building relationships with customers, technology partners, and internal teams.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills to navigate shifting deadlines and ambiguous requirements in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the optical industry, including lab or lab management systems (LMS).
