Job Description

The Manager of Global Corporate Communications plays a pivotal role in managing and executing internal and external communication workstreams in support of Visa’s Legal, Ethics and Compliance organization. The ideal candidate will bring experience crafting compelling narratives that resonate with internal and external audiences and drive meaningful stakeholder engagement. 

This individual is expected to:

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans to engage key internal and external audiences through internal, media, digital and social channels.
  • Participate in the development of compelling stories that showcase Visa’s leadership in areas related to legal, ethics and compliance and data privacy.
  • Bring experience in storytelling across digital and social channels, including content planning and development, execution and reporting.
  • Write and edit messaging frameworks, leadership talking points, organizational announcements, briefing materials, internal and external social content, and other external and internal communications materials.
  • Oversee and manage communications projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging and strategies, as well as balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Leverage data and insights to plan, measure and optimize the impact of communication strategies

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional communications experience, with a mix of in-house and agency roles strongly preferred
  • Proven competency in corporate storytelling
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into compelling messages
  • Demonstrated success managing media relations and internal communications
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of emotional intelligence, collaboration, creativity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,600.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
