The Global Procurement Sales & Account Partners (PSAP) team, part of Unisys’ Global Procurement (GP) Organisation, is a growing, diverse, and multi-skilled team. We deliver cost-efficient, proactive, and competitive solutions to procurement challenges and requirements through our 3rd party suppliers. In partnership with our Sales and Client Management Teams, we support the continued growth and profitability of our global business.
In this role, you will drive the implementation of multi-regional sourcing strategies and the selection of suppliers for the Field Services Labour category, covering pricing and contracting for SOW Services, Deskside Support Services (including Break-Fix), and may involve other labour-related services where required. The role’s primary focus is on Unisys’ non-subsidiary countries, known internally as ‘SPC – Service Partner Countries’ or ‘UWT – Unisys World Trade’.
You will collaborate within the Global Procurement Sales & Account Partner team and the wider Unisys team to develop, innovate, and deliver the strategic alignment of procurement activities with the overarching business objectives of Unisys. You will play a key role in bid preparation and client accounts covering 3rd party labor (field services) requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit a high degree of independence, and possess a strong sense of urgency in their work ethic. You will also engage with stakeholders to ensure these solutions are fit for purpose, providing tangible benefits and value to the organisation.
- Procurement Support: Provide support during the Customer Bid Proposal phase, including identifying third-party content, preparing purchase details for customer bids and sales proposals, conducting competitive bidding, and managing risks.
- Bid Cycle Management: Oversee bid cycles from initial scoping to the return of fully costed solutions from partner countries, ensuring timely responses to all bid submissions. Plays a lead role in bid package preparation where suppliers are involved.
- Solution and Scope Definition: Collaborate with bid teams to define solutions and scope, ensuring robust and financially sound pricing from partner countries.
- Strives to achieve the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and the vendor’s ability to meet required schedules
- Confers with suppliers and analyses supplier operations to determine factors that affect prices
- Requests quotes and negotiates with vendors to improve pricing and delivery options
- Market Review and Pricebook Management: Conduct market reviews, negotiate, manage, and maintain pricebooks for all partners using the SPC’s (online Field Service Rate & Capability Tool).
- Category Knowledge and Strategic Direction: Deliver category-specific knowledge and strategic direction for the Labour Services category in coordination with the Labor Category Lead, Field Engineering Services team, PSAP, and global peers.
- Strategic Goals and Business Cases: Develop and implement ideas and business cases to achieve the strategic goals of Global Procurement and Unisys.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Support and develop key areas of focus in Supplier Relationship Management.
- Category Management Initiatives: support all phases of engagements, including design, development, and implementation of global and regional Category Management initiatives, together with the Category lead, where required
- Sourcing and Supplier On-boarding: Manage sourcing and supplier onboarding as required.
- Tender Lifecycle Management: Understand and enable RFx, templates, contracts, and requirement documents for pricing, financial, and risk analysis, managing the full tender lifecycle across bids and existing client accounts.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in Functions and Business Units to understand their strategy and goals, delivering outstanding supply management support and solutions aligned with corporate strategic initiatives.
- Procurement Solutions Engagement: Secure engagement and buy-in for Procurement solutions, ensuring optimum value from the supply market with voluntary compliance from stakeholders and Business Units.
- Financial Goals and Savings Targets: Maximize ROI on Unisys spend with third-party suppliers, delivering on savings targets and financial goals of the Supply Management organization.
- Category Management and Strategic Sourcing Skills: Continuously develop leading-edge Category Management and strategic sourcing skills, setting challenging targets and striving for unprecedented success.
- Lead improvement in effectiveness, efficiency and control for Spend Category
- Drive early procurement involvement in the sales process to influence supplier choice and competitive rates during the solution creation phase where possible, working closely with the bid & solution architect teams
- Representing GP as the focal procurement subject matter expert (SME) for all procurement matters under your remit, related to the development of pricing proposals at the proposal phase of a bid pursuit, as well as the ongoing procurement activities on our client accounts; work with your other GP team members in the Global Category Management (CM), Global Strategic Sourcing Support (SSS) and Global Operations teams to align them to business objectives
- Multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment, working with a sense of urgency and prioritization for all 3rd party supplier pricing requirements (support deal velocity/speed-to-market)
- Build and foster relationships and work cross-functionally and cross BU’s with a diverse set of internal business partners and external 3rd party suppliers and partners
- Regularly inform and educate client account and Sales teams on Procurement Best Practices
- Playbook Creation: Assist in creating specific labor category-focused playbooks, tied to the SPC remit and field service partners
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Work experience in a professional domestic or international environment, covering Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, and Financial Analysis
- Solid experience in contract negotiation
- Experience in contract development and business law
- Understanding of contract labour functions and the Labour Services category, particularly for EMEA, with knowledge of local EMEA & APAC Labour Laws a plus
- Experience with e-Procurement tools
- Experience in vendor evaluation, developing scorecards, and communicating recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., PowerPoint, advanced Excel, Visio, MS Project)
- Solid technical and statistical background preferred
- Track record of successfully working/engaging with senior stakeholders
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages preferred for EMEA
