Garret Thrift Shop Manager - Volunteer Services - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of Director of Volunteer Services, the Garret Manager collaborates with the John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center Auxiliary Presidents and Garret Advisory Committee to facilitate the immediate needs of the shop and plan long term goals. The Garret Thrift Shop Manager oversees daily operations including building and property maintenance, cash handling, Point of Service management, sales, and marketing, and ensuring outstanding customer service. With the support of JMH Volunteer Services, the Manager also recruits, onboards, trains, and manages volunteers who support the Shop.

Education:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent – Required
  • BA/BS in relevant field - preferred

Experience:

  • Retail Sales - Required
  • Sales/Marketing - Marketing - Required
  • Customer Service - Required
  • Volunteer Management - Preferred
  • Education/Training - Staff Training - Preferred

Skills:

  • Able to tolerate hard floors as on hard floors most of day.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Computer literate including knowledge of Cash register/cash handling procedures.
  • Must be flexible with work scheduling.

Work Shift:

Exempt Salaried (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$60,828.00 - $91,242.00

Salary

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
