Role Responsibilities

As a JavaScript Engineer at RocketFin, you will:

• Lead the architecture and development of client applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, providing technical insights and clarity where needed.
• Build front-end user interfaces, enhance backend capabilities, and ensure seamless interaction across diverse platforms.
• Visualise complex data to deliver user-friendly, functional solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using TypeScript and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Conduct rigorous testing to guarantee system reliability and correctness.
• Participate and provide value in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
• Review and provide feedback on designs and code from team members, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, research new technologies, and implement innovative solutions.
• Mentor and support junior developers, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.

Key Skills

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Strong engineering discipline, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent software.
• Expertise in TypeScript and at least one JavaScript framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Solid experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Automated Testing.
• A good understanding of Agile methodologies and their practical application.
• Strong software architecture knowledge with a focus on developing robust and scalable client applications.
• The ability to estimate time and effort for project work accurately while meeting delivery deadlines.
• Experience with desktop interoperability software such as OpenFin (advantageous).
• Familiarity with general cloud principles and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in building and shipping high-quality software.
• Hands-on experience with software architecture and scalable solutions.
• Experience using OpenFin or similar desktop interoperability platforms is a plus.
