Position Summary: Responsible for preparing the product for the assembly/paint process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Tape vehicles in preparation for paint process.
  • Prep vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
  • May be part of a crew and assist skilled operators in performance of skilled function.
  • May repair units that fail to meet specifications.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Participates in daily shop organization and clean-up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet and establish deadlines.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, complex operating and work instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Position Qualifications:

Education: HS diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

  • No experience required, but 1+ years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
