The role

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will work on defueling contracts in the nuclear industry within a supportive team, with great career growth and opportunities. 

Day-to-day, you’ll provide advice and support to the business on all aspects of quality, including the delivery of its quality plans, ensuring appropriate quality levels are allocated to control of work activities.

  • Assisting with the planning, scheduling, conducting and reporting of audits.
  • Advising the business on planning to meet standards relevant to its activities, particularly those specific to new projects.
  • Reviewing findings from independent assurance activities.
  • Supporting the implementation of necessary corrective and preventive actions to remedy any non-compliance found and to avoid recurrence.

This role is a fixed term contract, 37 hours per week over four days and is based in Leicester, Leicestershire. 

Essential experience of the Quality Engineer:

  • Time-served or apprentice-level in a relevant field.
  • Strong engineering background with hands on experience.

Qualifications for the Quality Engineer:

  • HND/HNC qualified is desirable.
