Be part of our newly established IT Department at Infineon Technologies' Budapest office, a key hub for our global competence center in IT infrastructure, integration, and security. As a Unix/Linux System Engineer, you will contribute to the development of our global infrastructure, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with international teams.
We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our complex Unix/Linux infrastructure, including high availability solutions, automation, and continuous improvement of technical processes.
In your new role you will:
- Install, configure and operate our complex Linux / Unix Infrastructure within our worldwide distributed data centers including high availability solutions
- Automate and continuously improve of all technical processes
- Availability and performance monitoring including creation and customization of dashboards and alerts
- Troubleshooting and problem solving as part of 2nd and 3rd level support in cooperation with our internal customer as well as IT security support for the implementation of hardening / protection of the server systems and the running services on them
- Technology consulting for our customers, as wel
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively in a global team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. You are adaptable, flexible, and willing to learn and grow. With a strong foundation in IT and a passion for virtualization, you are well-equipped to succeed in this role.
- You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Successfully completed a university degree in technical computer science (alternatively mathematics, physics with IT relevance) or have appropriate further training / relevant experience as an IT specialist.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in similar environments – ideally IT in a highly critical production environment
- Good knowledge of one or more of the following IT tools: Ansible, Python, Rundeck, Git, Bitbucket, Puppet, Foreman, Kibana, Zabbix
- Good knowledge of one or more of the following operating systems: Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Solaris, HP-UX
