At InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional experiences for our guests. We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join our team as Cluster Director of MICE Sales.

Reporting to the Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing, this role is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the Conference and Events Services Department at InterContinental Malta, voco Malta and Holiday Inn Express Malta, ensuring seamless coordination of all group events while exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible to lead a high-performing team maximize hotel profitability, generate sales and revenue, whilst fostering a culture of collaboration, quality service, and professional growth.

He/she will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and vendors; negotiating contracts and pricing; participating in international tradeshows; and assisting with forecasting and budget planning to meet financial targets while enhancing overall performance.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record of driving revenue and closing deals in the MICE industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a Conference & Events team to achieve ambitious goals.
• Strong ability to plan and execute sales strategies, with solid experience in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Client-Centric: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-first approach.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Expertise in contract negotiations, pricing, and managing group bookings and conventions.
• Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the hospitality industry and the MICE market, including trends and platforms like Cvent. Knowledge of PMS systems such as Opera and Delphi is an advantage.
