Spirit of the Position:

Front Desk/Dispatch clerks exemplify the principles of efficiency and exhibit a sense of urgency

to provide a helpful and speedy experience for our customers. While demonstrating

excellent communication skills, this position will manage customer and employee inquiries with

professionalism and friendliness.

As a front desk/dispatch clerk, you will serve as the backbone of the operation in supporting

communications between departments to ensure tasks are completed promptly and

personnel is properly located and informed. Your primary responsibilities are to provide

excellent customer service, including responding to calls quickly, transmitting messages clearly,

and monitoring and tracking company vehicles. This role requires exceptional customer service skills,

attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: Full-time day varies overnight Monday through Sunday. 

Compensation: $22.75/hour; nontipped

Principle Job Duties:

  • Maintain a detailed log of Traffic Agent and License plate Identification (LPI) Agent

locations within the airport premises.

  • Update the log regularly to ensure accuracy and accessibility for relevant staff members.
  • Remain calm, assess, and communicate situations that involve maintenance issues,

security concerns, or medical emergencies.

  • Maintain accurate logs of transports, vehicle services, and towed vehicles.
  • Be mindful of the schedules and locations of employees.
  • Receive and dispatch service calls based on the availability of traffic agents.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, adhering to established telephone

etiquette standards.

  • Assist with various administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures and protocols, including evacuation routes and

assembly points.

  • Record and file vehicle inspections, waivers, and service call reports.
  • Research and provide receipt requests for customers.
  • Log the use of radios and issue radios to employees.
  • Utilize parking systems to change sign messages.
  • File and retain paperwork based on compliance standards.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

  • Experience with general facility maintenance required.
  • Experience in customer relations.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in parking management, customer service, or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness and ability to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 15 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions.
