We are seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Operator to join our TEAM! The biggest responsibility of a Lathe Operator is to make parts that fully meet all required specifications. To achieve this primary goal, they typically perform the following Machinist job duties:
Duties:
- Hand loading parts and/or material
- Hand feeding tools as required
- Inspecting parts during production using various types of gaging devices such as comparators, hand mikes, plug and depth gages
- Making machine and tooling adjustments necessary to maintain print specifications
- Resharpening and replacing tools, raking chips, sanding faces, adding coolant
- Utilizing various industrial tools and being responsible for the set up and operation of Manual Machining Equipment in tight tolerances
