GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for accurate counting of all products within the store and/or warehouse. Ensure product is free of damage and properly identified. Analyze and reconcile daily cycle report to ensure accuracy and inventory integrity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create daily cycle batch and complete cycle count.
  • Resolve NIL and research pieces.
  • Assist with and perform important administrative functions to accurately maintain inventory records.
  • Identify any merchandise that is tagged incorrectly, identify correct SKU and make needed corrections in system.
  • Communicate problems with inventory situations to the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Adhere to policies or procedures for logistics activities.
  • Demonstrate a culture of respect, adaptability, multifunction capabilities and a strong work ethic.
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and be available, as needed, to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, with or without advance notice.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity by using cycle counts, reports, and research to identify problems and find resolutions that prevent and/or reduce NIL and inventory shrink.
  • Assist Inventory Control Manager in creating a cycle count schedule to maximize use of hours.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards at location.
  • Understand and adhere to company policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the company Policy and Procedures manual.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: Must be able to read, write, and count accurately. Must possess especially strong attention to detail. Must be able to do simple math and write clearly and legibly. Ability to follow directions and analyze data is necessary. Should be a strong self starter and show initiative.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, associates are frequently required to walk, stand, climb ladders, work in hot or cold conditions and use their hands and fingers to tag merchandise, maintain logs, etc. Regular use of hands and arms to reach for merchandise while tagging and assist with unloading is required along with frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling. Regular communication through listening and talking is also required. This job may require occasional lifting or moving of furniture of up to 75 pounds alone or 150 lbs. with assistance.

TOOLS OR EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB: Tow motor, order picker, computer, telephone, copier, other office equipment, hand held scanner and motor mount, Storis ERP.

BEHAVIORAL CHARACTERISTICS: Strong initiative skills and self-starter. Positive can-do attitude. Ability to count accurately, follow direction, analyze data, and pay close attention to detail.
