Vice President, Marketing
Are you a visionary marketer with a passion for driving growth and building unforgettable brands? We are in search of a dynamic and strategic Marketing Leader to join our team!
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you'll spearhead our marketing initiatives, elevate our brand, and lead our marketing communication efforts. You will be responsible for crafting a compelling value proposition, developing and executing innovative campaign strategies, and ensuring our brand remains top of mind. This position requires a creative thinker who can execute effectively, empower our team, and collaborate across departments to drive business growth and enhance our market presence. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in aligning marketing strategies with commercial objectives to maximize revenue and profitability.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Develops and articulates a compelling value proposition that highlights unique service offerings and emphasizes value over cost through comprehensive market research and strategic positioning
- Defines and communicates services clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders, creating detailed service line descriptions, competitive analyses, and high-impact marketing materials
- Creates and implements a comprehensive communication plan to train employees on the value proposition, organizes engaging workshops, interactive training sessions, and provides ongoing support to ensure consistent messaging
- Leads the implementation of a new brand name and amplifies brand presence, overseeing the rebranding process and ensuring consistency, excitement, and alignment across all touchpoints; manages engagement at industry events to ensure effective brand representation
- Oversees all marketing communication efforts with a strong focus on digital marketing, managing the creation and distribution of compelling content across websites, blogs, social media, and email campaigns to maximize reach and engagement
- Develops and executes innovative campaign strategies to drive business growth, generate high-quality leads, increase sales, and enhance customer retention through targeted marketing initiatives
- Conducts thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement, leveraging data-driven insights to inform and continuously refine marketing strategies
- Identifies and cultivates strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance market position, drive success, and co-create impactful marketing initiatives; collaborates closely with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and the Commercial teams to align strategies with overall business objectives
- Mentors and develops the marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture, driving talent growth, and ensuring the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel
- Manages the marketing budget to ensure optimal allocation of resources, demonstrating a clear return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives, and maintaining financial accountability
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Success:
- Strength of Differentiated Value Proposition: Validate improvements through Net Promoter Score (NPS) and other industry and/or customer surveys
- Qualified Market Leads for Revenue Growth: Measure and enhance the quantity and quality of marketing leads to drive new business and upsell opportunities
- Brand Awareness and Recognition: Amplify brand recognition, social media followers, and engagement rates consistently year over year
- Digital Marketing Performance: Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy to position us as the industry leader through effective campaigns
- Marketing ROI: Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the marketing budget annually
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field (required)
- MBA, with a focus in marketing (preferred)
- Certified Marketing Professional (CMP), Digital Marketing Certification or other industry-specific certifications (preferred)
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing, brand building, and marketing communications (required)
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing marketing teams and projects (required)
- Experience in the industrial waste management industry, which can be part of the overall marketing experience or additional specialized experience (preferred)
Competencies:
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Customer Experience
- Strong digital marketing and campaign strategy development abilities, with an understanding of the latest marketing trends and technologies
- Regular and predictable attendance to consistently perform the vital functions and requirements of this role, contributing to our ongoing success
