Candidate will work in a team of engineers in supporting development teams and squads, ensuring the efficient and effective resolution of technical issues and the maintenance of high service standards and evolving the function to remain responsive to the evolving needs of the developer community. This role involves collaboration, coordination, not only with hands-on technical support but also pro active use of technology to create the most efficient path to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

  • Expertise in developer tools such as Bitbucket, JIRA, Asana, Viva, Confluence, Jenkins, CloudBees, and SonarQube,GitLab, Terraform, Vault, and the abiltity to learn new tooling as part of an evolving ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with developer tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of support processes and methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a support, coordination, user facing role
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • work as part of a team of enabling engineering, providing guidance to users and working hands on with a variety of DevOps capabilities
  • Ensure effective use of support for all the tools in the developer ecosystem
  • Promote and ensure the adoption of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, within the support team.
  • Collaborate with other groups to align support activities with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge bases in Confluence, StackOverflow and others.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Dynamically engage with daily operations of the support team, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets and adherence to SLAs.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
  • Develop and implement support processes and standard methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Monitor team performance using metrics and reporting tools, and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Actively participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
