SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for the development and execution of the calibration methods and application for all metrologies used in validated process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible to schedule and coordinate calibration activities.
  • Supervisory role for technician personnel.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards.
  • Calibration of temperature &humidity, mass and balance, pressure, force, speed, time, electrical & dimensional instruments.
  • Write, review and update calibration procedures.
  • Performs/ support validation activities and validation studies as needed.
  • Investigate, implement and provide support for corrective actions related to Out Tolerance deviations.
  • Investigate and implement actions related to NCRs and CAPAs.
  • Interpret and trend Calibration events.
  • Manage the logistics process of purchasing supplies and equipment for the calibration department.
  • Manages calibration lab and its functionality.
  • Support and implement Cost Saving projects.

RESPONSABILITIES AND ROLES EHS

Responsibilities

  • Comply with statutory responsibility under the national or federal regulations such as taking reasonable care of his or her own safety, health and welfare and of any other persons who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions at work.
  • Follow established EHS procedures and policies.
  • Encourage coworkers to follow EHS procedures.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities such as EHS inspections and EHS meetings
  • Report EHS incidents and hazards, assist in root cause analysis as appropriate, and cooperate in finding solutions or implementing improvement.
  • Complete required EHS training.

Roles

  • Require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Stop work in the event of contractors or other employees performing work that may lead to a serious injury or environmental incident.
  • Refuse to carry out an activity that jeopardizes the health of your own or staff and the building or facilities.
  • Refuse to perform operations/activities in which you are not trained or feel that your integrity is at risk.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor or advance study in Electronics, Electromechanical or any other related engineer degree / Certified Calibration Technician.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields.

Medical devices industry experience is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

Statistical knowledge is preferred.

Problem solving skills.

FDA Regulated Industry experience as well as applicable Quality.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).

Ability to work with cross-functional teams to solve issues throughout the plant Site and at Divisional level.
