What you’ll be doing...

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for Business Operations related to the Reverse Operation. As such, the Sr. Manager will monitor and maintain the spend for multiple operations. This includes working with finance on maintaining the budget, forecasting spend with the 3PLs, processing invoices, and creating associated purchase requisitions. The Sr. Manager will create financial modeling based on different spend scenarios and initiatives. As a result, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for understanding the cost drivers and working back with the various teams to put together a plan to drive improvement. The Sr. manager will manage the contracts with the 3PLs and the associated service levels. This will require collaborative engagement with the 3PLs and numerous internal partners including: Operations, Repair, Monetization, Planning, Finance, Systems, and Sourcing. 

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing various other initiatives including returns routing volume amongst the operations and achieve the most favorable mix as a result. The Sr. Manager will represent the team in the S&OP meetings and several other programs. 

The Sr. Manager will have ownership of analysis, distribution, and approval of invoices related to reverse supply chain activity provided by 3r3PLs. This will require the use of data analytics to verify accuracy and identify trends with production and cost efficiency. This will include negotiating rates within individual activities and special projects, while increasing visibility and favorability. This will require providing summary level reporting to supply chain leadership. This role will be the point of contact for communication and documentation of Reverse Operations invoicing.

  • Utilizing data analytics to identify trends in operational activities to provide root cause analysis and drive operational improvements and system enhancements for customer impacting solutions.
  • Providing daily and weekly reporting on Key Performance Indicators for productivity, process response time, and accuracy.
  • Proactively working to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and systemic solutions to reduce negative impact to daily production. Demonstrate ability to work independently through complex assignments that are integral in process improvement and building best in class customer experience.
  • Researching and providing root cause analysis in executive summary on Reverse Operations executive escalations within 24 hours. Drive cross functional engagement and coordination for resolution on customer impacting solutions.
  • Utilizing the customer escalations incorporating the results into key actionable changes that will drive improvements and build an overall best in class experience for our customers.
  • Analyzing data and clearly communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • Providing the metrics needed to support top business goals.
  • Creating new business intelligence services and support to address emerging needs.
  • Leading the end-to-end reporting, metrics, dashboards and business intelligence to the product group that the consultant owns. Make decisions on reporting customization to support the product group you own according to the business needs while ensuring meta-data consistency between the different product groups.
  • Deriving information from product related reports and updating critical data in the planning systems accordingly.
  • Driving the standardization of data metrics and KPIs leveraging business process and data knowledge.
  • Helping drive accuracy and consistency in data and reporting.
  • Understanding business strategy and KPIs, and provide stewardship of necessary data and metrics in support of organizational goals.
  • Managing user expectations and help lead organizational change management efforts regarding data and analytics.
  • Extracting data, model it to build reports and dashboards to measure KPIs and automate it. Stay current and learn business intelligence tools to provide business group with the best available reporting and be cross-trained on other product groups to be able to support each other on the team.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA in Supply Chain or relevant field.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Business acumen, effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational and risk assessment skills.
  • Proficiency with working with large amounts of data to interpret, summarize, and build business cases for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to organize conflicting priorities and optimize customer impacting solutions to drive resolution in required time frames.
  • Ability to develop collaborative, cross functional partnerships within internal and external work group organizations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, fostering engagement from external team members in order to achieve team goals.
  • Wireless industry experience with knowledge of OEMs, devices, processes and policies.
  • Track record of identifying and delivering creative opportunities to achieve business organization goals.
  • Ability to be a motivated, self-starter and highly collaborative, capability to produce high quality results in challenging situations in a dynamic environment.
