Job Description

Our innovative solutions (Foxintelligence, Omnisales, Data Impact) recently launched in Belgium and the Netherlands, offer our customers comprehensive insights into the e-commerce market as well as understanding on how to optimize the digital presence of their own products. 

As the E-commerce lead for the Benelux, you are responsible for building and leading the commercial engagement with key clients and prospects as it relates to our e-commerce solutions. This covers large-scale datasets captured from consumer e-commerce purchase behavior. This role will focus on winning new business, building strong client relationships, and growing NielsenIQ’s share in the marketplace. 

The role will be the specialist seller for our e-commerce solutions to suppliers and retailers across both new and existing clients, in both FMCG and Tech & Durables, in both Belgium and the Netherlands. The e-commerce lead will be based in either the Netherlands or Belgium and collaboratively work with other e-commerce sellers who support the Benelux out of other locations in Europe. 

The role will report into our West European E-commerce leadership and will have a dual accountability towards NielsenIQ’s Benelux Managing Director. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead client sales for NielsenIQ’s e-commerce solutions in the Benelux. 
  • Develop deep expertise on the e-commerce landscape in the Benelux. 
  • Build and execute a territory plan to support lead generation, develop new sales opportunities in the country and meet or exceed stated financial annual quotas and quarterly targets. 
  • Grow and manage pipeline activity through new business development in collaboration with our Growth Marketing team. 
  • Elaborate and drive complete sales cycle from detection to closing 
  • Lead deep dive methodology and needs assessment sessions with clients 
  • Perform strong product demos and demonstrate product insights 
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders well as NielsenIQ’s internal account management teams to identify opportunities for e-commerce solutions.
  • Represent voice of customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications, and delivery teams 
  • Work collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross-functional partners in product, operations, technology, and marketing.
  • Own the sales pipeline and forecasting on the total e-commerce suite of solutions for the Benelux.

Do you have the necessary skill set to be successful in this role? Are you a passionate, savvy sales consultant with a strong sense of urgency and accountability to deliver against financial targets? Can you effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and brings them along your journey? Are you able to work collaboratively, within a fast-paced and challenging environment while maintaining high standards? Do you have experience in working with complex client relationships and client issue resolution? 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years' commercial experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or tech and durables (T&D) industry required. 
  • 2-3 years' sales experience in e-commerce and/or SaaS required 
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is an advantage. 
  • Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment 
  • Experience selling data, insights, or other 3rd party services 
  • Demonstrated record of creating and growing sales revenue year over year. 
  • Strong sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency. 
  • Creative, consultative, and strong communicator with the ability to build exceptional relationships with colleagues and customers. 
  • Proficient in CRM and management through sales tools 
  • Previous experience engaging clients and industry on topics such as data measurement, insights, data integration, e-Retailers, and other Omni solutions 
  • Make it Happen" mentality; ability to take initiative and motivate people in a fast-paced environment
