Job Description Summary:
The Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment for the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences (CCAS) plays a key role in developing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing and recruitment plans for all graduate programs within the College. Leveraging recruitment data and professional experience, the Assistant Director provides valuable insights and recommendations to support the achievement of annual enrollment goals. This role actively contributes to the design and execution of targeted graduate recruitment activities, both domestically and internationally. Travel makes up 15% of this position, with occasional domestic and international trips required.
In collaboration with the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment, the Assistant Director coordinates, organizes, and executes comprehensive recruitment and yield communication plans for domestic and international graduate students. A particular emphasis is placed on enhancing outreach to targeted populations, as well as strengthening engagement across the prospect, applicant, and admitted student pools.
The Assistant Director serves as a key point of contact for prospective graduate students from diverse academic, cultural, national, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This includes counseling applicants on available graduate programs, application requirements, and financial aid opportunities.
Although the position is remote, the Assistant Director is expected to be on campus 3-5 times a year for special events, such as Open House, Admitted Student Day(s), or other recruitment-related activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Through these efforts, the Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment ensures a strategic, data-driven, and student-centered approach to graduate enrollment growth and engagement for the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning tasks that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
