The Position

he role is based in San José, Costa Rica. The Intern will be working at Roche Services Americas, which is one of the Roche Shared Services Centers worldwide providing Finance, Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region. The Analyst reports to the AP Team Lead.

The Accounts Payable Intern Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all tasks assigned related to Accounts Payable processes while maintaining adequate internal controls.

They could be responsible for entering PO and non-PO invoices, troubleshooting discrepancies, working with system interfaces and handling exceptions, and providing best-in-class customer service to our business partners.

Responsibilities:

These are main responsibilities but are not limited based on business needs.

1. Handle exceptions through direct communication with business partners, buyers, and other

support groups

2. Respond timely and accurately to internal and external inquiries (colleagues and/or vendors)

3. Provide supporting documentation for audit reviews

4. Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions

Qualifications

  • Accounting, Finance or related University degree or cursing the last semesters of the career.
  • English language Intermediate / Portuguese language desirable
  • SAP ERP expertise is desirable.
  • Hands on, organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Office packages knowledge (specially MS Excel).
  • General accounting knowledge (Technical degree).
