JR50319 Program Manager - University Relations (Campus Hiring)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a forward-looking (minimum of a 2-3 years horizon) India University Strategy for developing engagement with top identified Universities to target attraction and recruitment of top diverse talent.
  • Lead India University Relations communities, and partner with Regional & Country Talent Acquisition Leaders to scale excellence, innovation, and global partnership.
  • Understand Global Strategy towards University engagement & recruiting including talent metrics & targets.
  • Partner with multiple internal and external team members to drive workforce development strategy and the University Research Alliance of Micron(URAM)
  • Develop & Improve India University recruitment & Engagement strategy.
  • Development and alignment of processes with respect to student identification, interviewing, and selection ensuring excellent candidate experience.
  • Strengthening the Micron Employment and Talent brand.
  • Collaboration with Micron Foundation to explore opportunities in engaging students, and professors at targeted universities.
  • Identify and report Performance Metrics in identified target Universities through workforce-ready councils.
  • Continuously review and evaluate technology tools to enhance internal University hiring processes and improve candidate experience.
  • Design diversity hiring programs in universities in partnership with the diversity, equality, and inclusion team to expand the diverse talent pool.
  • Provide subject matter advice & recommendations to business Leaders and develop methodologies for hiring and retaining graduates.
  • Build Talent pool through non-traditional pathways like Apprenticeship, Career Re-entry, work and study program, and certification program.
  • Partner extensively with ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) to explore avenues of building the talent pipeline.

Required Capabilities/Proficiencies:

  • Overall experience of 15+ years in talent acquisition including a minimum of 5 years in leading university relations, recruiting & engagement at premium colleges/universities in India. Experience with Asia & US university hiring landscape is not required but advantageous.
  • Strong Data Analytics, Problem-Solving, Organization and Project Management Skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience in working with cross-cultural teams.
  • Ability to influence without authority in a dynamic and matrixed environment.
  • Experience in forming positive relationships and working with different leadership styles types and levels of global partners.
  • High Inquisitiveness, excellent communication skills, ability, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Understanding of technology trends and tools used in University recruiting.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% annually

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent education in HR, Business, or other related field preferred
  • Experience in leading mid-size teams across different locations
  • Analytics and reporting capability resulting in data-driven business decisions
  • Prior success with introducing, implementing, and sustaining key university relations initiatives and demonstrating direct linkage to the achievement of the business strategy
  • Exhibit knowledge of hiring practices, behavioral-based interview techniques, recruiting metrics, and tracking processes for applicants and open positions.
  • Must be highly organized, analytical and meticulous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and collaborate cross-functionally to establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence while delivering the highest level of customer service.
