Job Description

The Director of Sales Development will be responsible for building and managing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). The SDRs are responsible for meeting and exceeding a sales quota by excelling at key critical success factors, including inbound lead follow up, outbound calls, opportunity identification, pipeline creation and upsell/cross-sell.

Responsibilities

o Lead team of global ISR's responsible for prospecting into target accounts which may include new logo prospects and existing customers.

o Manage all outsourced SDR vendors.

o Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and coach Inside Sales Team focused on attracting and retaining top talent that has the ability to quickly grow and scale within the organization.

o Set and ensure the team meets monthly and quarterly objectives and completes a high volume of daily calls/activities.

o Report on team/individual results – quantity & quality of meetings and pipeline creation to Sales Management.

o Ensure the effective use of Salesforce.com in day-to-day activities.

o Conduct weekly 1:1’s, mentoring and career development sessions for the team.

o Help create and improve email templates and messaging.

o Work closely with Sales Operations to make recommendations on process improvements.

o Set clear expectations and vision for the team

o Collaborate internally to facilitate new programs, messages, and campaigns.

o Participate in client interactions to ensure cross-training, customer satisfaction and management involvement regularly.

o Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional.

Required Skills/Experience

o Minimum 5 years of overall Sales Development and SDR leadership experience, including managing a global team.

o Working knowledge of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.

o Proven experience as an Sales Development Rep. and proven ability to build a successful, scaleable SDR program for a technology company

o Experience managing a team through leadership, teamwork, client focus, flexibility.

o Drive to work in an exceptionally fast-growing start-up.

o Passion for sales and pipeline creation.

o Competitive team player and leader.

o Enterprise technology aptitude.

o Strong knowledge of lead qualification methodologies (e.g. BANT, MEDDIC)

o History of over-achievement in managing SDR teams.

o Competent communicator - written and verbal.

o Strong background using CRM and sales engagement applications.

o Experience building and leading an SDR program within a SaaS or cybersecurity software company preferred

o This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship to work in the US

Compensation Transparency

$170,000 - $200,000 USD

Please note that the annual base salary range is a guideline and, for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as, knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for benefits, and may be eligible for equity.
