Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position:

  • Design and implement new APC applications
  • Identify APC opportunity roadmap including benefits assessment
  • Optimize and maintain APC application installed base
  • Track and report APC application performance metrics
  • Consult and assist plant sites designing and optimizing regulatory process control strategies
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies in the automation space

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Fundamental understanding of process control theory
  • Experience with process modeling tools and techniques
  • Specific experience with Aspen DMC or equivalent
  • Experience with loop tuning and optimization of regulatory control strategies
  • Experience with Emerson and Honeywell DCS or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis within North America, Europe, and Asia

Desireable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Prior Experience implementing advanced control models in a chemical processing environment
  • Experience with Aspen RTO

Required Years Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years Chemicals Industry or equivalent experience

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree (preference for Chemical Engineer)
