Job Title:  Executive –Service Assurance

Location :Chennai

Reporting to :  Manager –Service Assurance

Date : 17-11-2014

Purpose of the Job

Resolution of  Trouble tickets in Voice , IPLC and Data international circuits within agreed SLA in co ordination with CFM and RHS support and Cable system operators and provide RFO for S3 & S4 cases as per agreed SLA

Deliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

 

 

Major Challenges :

 

  1. Resolution Trouble tickets within agreed SLA period for S1 & S2 cases

  2. Provide RFO for S3 and S4 cases .

  3. Prepare uptime reports as per assignment with accuracy

  4. Reroute circuits on failure after getting necessary approvals and ensure that databases are updated

  5. Ensure that network quality is maintained

  6. Support team leaders in preparing impact list during critical failures

Shared:Decisions reached jointly with peers on a collective basis

 

 

Contributory: Makes a major contribution to a decision or policy judgment reached by others

1)     Configuration of circuits

 

2)    Temporary restoration of circuits

 

3)    recovery of circuits during major failures based on recovery plan


Demonstrate (Key competencies)

# Familiarity in  SDH , DWDM and Networking technologies and exposure to operational maintenance of fiber optic networks

# Good communication skills and command in English to co ordinate with international providers

# Willingness to learn new technology and tools used  

# Familiarity with database management systems like Metasolv etc.

# Good team player

B.E Electronics and Telecommunication

Working Experience

1-2  years in telecommunication industry
