As a Business UAT Analyst I at JP Morgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining test scenarios, test plan, test cases used for UAT within Card Marketing and Execution team. You will primarily be supporting marketing campaigns. Your responsibilities will also involve performing other testing related duties as required.

This individual will have the primary role for development of UAT testing strategies including creating testing plans and scenarios, preparing test cases, conducting UAT testing and review results for final UAT business sign-off. The individual must demonstrate independent judgement to perform analysis of business requirements and system specifications, prioritize testing activities for configuration changes, execute test plans and scripts to facilitate complex testing activities, provide specific technical guidance on defects to business stakeholders, BAs and IT. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed and be able to thrive in a fast paced and high-visibility work environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Interact with campaign management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project/campaign and testing objectives
  • Develop and lead the test strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform testing cycles both manual and using automation
  • Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation – job aids/procedures to assure quality of the test suites to be developed
  • Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance
  • Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used
  • Creation & maintenance of the job aids & procedures associated with the testing standards and used by CME-UAT
  • Support during production deployment of applications and perform “validation testing” during the off-hours/weekend release windows
  • Have a keen eye to identify process gaps and lean down processes- also automate campaigns being worked upon/drive automation efforts

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in manual testing – SIT/UAT or Quality Assurance experience
  • Experience in execution of automated test suites preferred
  • Hands – on experience in both waterfall and Agile SDLC models preferred
  • Exposure to BDD Cucumber framework is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to co-ordinate effectively with partners,
  • project & testing teams and bridge the communication gaps
  • Have the ability to work flexible hours, including night-of deployments and occasionally weekends if required
  • Be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Possess excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, project and time management skills
  • Be extremely detail-oriented in regard to verbal and written documentation and communication

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge & Experience on JIRA tool is preferred
