Area Sales Manager (Projects)

You will be working as Area Sales Manager (Projects), will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Installation Products division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible to grow the project business of electrical products in UAE and oversight countries, work to create demand, map opportunities, and finalize orders for electrical products ranges including cable management, terminations and joints, glands, lugs and boxes working with consultants and engineering of customers within the selected verticals segment. You will also develop and nurture business relationships with channel partners, authorities and consultants helping them to succeed. You will also contribute to the growth of our electrical products and solutions working with customers and partners.

Your responsibilities

  • Building business relationships and proactively supporting partners and internal and external customers, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and technical knowledge of the customer needs
  • Preparing and executing sales plans and bids, identifying and developing new market opportunities in the assigned geographical area and segments
  • Generating demand for ABB installation products through a constant and tailored approach towards consultants, OEM’s and contractors
  • Developing the business through the channel partners network identifying qualified opportunities and converting them into sustainable business
  • Collaborating with the sales team of the other ABB divisions in order to maximize the common business opportunities, furthermore collaborating with the product marketing team to take to the market the right value proposition bringing back relevant market information
  • Keeping CRM and all relevant reporting updated and reporting back to the Marketing and Sales Manager, providing accurate demand order and revenue forecasts
  • In depth knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM & Navisworks knowledge, reading and understanding architectural layouts, sections and elevations

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering background
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in selling installation product portfolio with excellent technical and sales knowledge in Gulf countries
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, work cohesively with the team to maximize output, passion for solutions and applications, comfortable defining pricing positioning and willingness to travel when needed
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, good organization skills, problem solving and analytical skills and should be comfortable using a CRM system
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office 365
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory
