DXC Technology has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for a Administrative Assistant in Boise, ID.
An Administrative Assistant is needed to support Leaders and a Centers of Excellence Team in the Boise, ID or other select location for the U.S. Public Sector Deliver organization. The Deliver organization consists of 10,000 employees and contractors, with half of that workforce as regular employees, and around one quarter of the workforce as managers/leaders. Candidates will need to be able to travel to the office on a daily basis as this is not a telework position, though work from home can be pre-authorized on occasion. This is a non-exempt position, and very infrequent to low overtime would be required. Travel is not required. Due to nature of position, US Citizenship is required.
This position directly supports the organization and works remotely with teams. The position indirectly supports the U.S. Public Sector Deliver organization with personnel on-boarding, personnel off-boarding, and daily general administrative tasks for the 250 Leaders via the Administrative Services Centers of Excellence Team. Other on-site needs exist, such as escorting visitors, acting as the backup for other Assistants located in the office, and logistics for small conferences and in-person or webcast meetings.
Intermediate to Experienced level administrative knowledge and skills in administrative tasks. 3-5 years of experience in a busy work environment is desired. Ability to handle multiple projects and issues will be necessary to being a success in this position. Attention to detail, accuracy and completeness are needed; as are strong prioritization, tracking skills, and clear communication. To be successful, the candidate will have the ability to adapt to change swiftly; as well as manage your project from end to end, & adhering/enforcing deadlines. This position is for a team player and partner, someone with the ability to be flexible. Candidates should have the ability to work with multiple issues/projects & keeping the processing tool/database current with your progress on each task. Will need to be able to support multiple accounts while on the Administrative Team, sharing common processes and tasks in a centralized team with other team members that will be working! virtually with you. The team is located all over the United States, so you would work virtually with colleagues, there is the possibility that no other team members are in the same building as you. Needs strong experience with the Microsoft Office Professional package (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint sites), Adobe Professional, & Skype for Business (instant messenger, pc phone, and remote meeting-collaboration tool).
Responsible for performing general administrative support tasks involved in an organization. Responsibilities include assisting supervisory and nonsupervisory employees with various administrative support tasks. These tasks may include, but are not limited to, records maintenance, compiling data for reports, assisting with administrative tasks associated with the cost center(s) budget(s), scheduling appointments and meetings, hosting and taking action items/decisions at meetings, calendar maintenance for one or more managers, answering/screening telephone calls, preparing expense reports, preparing/editing presentations, making travel arrangements, distributing mail, greeting/escorting visitors, assisting new employees, duplicating, and other established general administrative tasks. Coordinates work within the work unit and with other work units/departments, both internal and possibly external to the company. May assist in supporting the general administrative work for one ! or more professional employees other than the direct supervisor. The work performed by these employees is predominately general administrative in nature, as opposed to specific administrative tasks that are directly related to a specialty functions e.g., marketing, engineering, human resources, etc. Applies extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways. Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures. May determine methods and procedures for new assignments. Typically provides guidance to other nonexempt employees.
