MFC Archbald is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop both embedded and application software systems. The selected candidate architect and implement software designs and will participate in all phases of the software development cycle.
Candidates applying to this position should have a Bachelor’s degree, or greater, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field with significant software development experience.
Candidates filling this position will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level”.
Lockheed Martin Archbald is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, & field service support for both domestic and international customers. Our site manufacturers many products within the Precision Guided Systems (PGS), Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) and other MFC lines of business. For over 70 years our products feature safety-critical systems for nuclear submarines, aircraft carriers, & commercial nuclear power plants while also producing air-to-ground weapon and training systems for the US Military and international allied customers.
The Locale: Archbald is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Archbald is a suburb of Scranton, PA. The city of Scranton hosts five colleges and universities: Lackawanna College, Marywood University, The University of Scranton, Johnson College, and The Commonwealth Medical College and one technical school, Fortis Institute.
