SCOPE OF POSITION:   The District Sales Manager position is established to increase the distribution, merchandising and sales execution including coordinating all sales and merchandising activities in assigned territory (Seattle Central District).  



Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

  • Accountable for sales volume, profitability, and execution in the assigned district and working in conjunction with entire team for the team goals.
  • Assist in establishing the sales volume objectives in the region by product line.
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and objectives by trade and chain account in assigned area as directed.
  • Work with a variety of independent distributor sales teams throughout region to improve awareness of Tim’s products, programs and promotions. Also to optimize shelf space and permanent or temporary displays/racks.
  • Responsible for trade customers as assigned; making sales presentations, recommendations on sales programs directed to increase sales and performing business reviews on a yearly basis.
  • Maintain good communication and build strong relationships with all buyers to ensure quality service; regular calls to present new products, promotions, price actions and advertising programs.
  • Present programs, promotions, and product authorization in accordance with appropriate regulations to trade customers as assigned.
  • Maintains and ensures updated authorization list for all accounts and account profile information are available on assigned web based or accessible programs.
  • Develop and maintain customer relations within the entire distribution area and others as assigned.
  • Ensure customer service levels are at or above stated goals and standards.
  • Assist in collection of payments from any trade account customers or independent operators within the district.
  • Make periodic market surveys, checking on competition, distribution, product mix, product rotation and service.
  • Ensure that all retailer programs including displays, promotional events and schematic integrity are being executed by independent operator at store level.
  • Coordinate and provide assistance as needed for retailer scheduled store resets and remodels.
  • Manage and track company merchandising assets (racks and fixtures) placed in the trade within district.
  • Assist in the planning of annual sales meetings with distributor network in district.
  • Utilize syndicated data to identify sales opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management from key retailers and distributor customers.
  • Coordinate, set up and attend marketing events, store grand openings, trade shows and other events as needed to benefit the business.



    • Three years of direct store delivery and sales management experience.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of grocery and snack industries.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
    • Hands on leadership style.
    • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
    • Dedication to achievement of results.
    • Ability to react to situations with strong sense of urgency.
    • Self-motivated, detail oriented and have proven track record of leadership ability.
    • Must be willing to travel within district.
    • Associates degree in business preferred.
