Who we are looking for

Database Engineer and technical team with 8+ years’ experience for our Cloud Modernization and Platform Team. This is a hands-on development position for a candidate with proven record of DB software development and execution excellence.

The candidate has industry experience (preferably in Financial Services) in supporting enterprise applications across various business units and has good exposure to various database engineering platforms. The candidate has excellent development and problem-solving skills, someone with creativity and self-motivation to deliver on mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities.

What you will be responsible for

  • Demonstrating experience with Oracle RDBMS - Snowflake is nice to have.
  • Demonstrating strong expertise in implementing data integration solutions for multiple platforms in enterprise.
  • Design, develop and maintain applications leveraging cloud native architecture principles and technologies.
  • Deploying high performing, quality/bug-free code in production.
  • Executing unit test of data populated in target data container, validating expected result and ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinating with business users for User Acceptance Testing and with Operations team for code deployment to upper environments.
  • Ensuring all cloud solutions exhibit higher level of cost efficiency, performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Following change management team stipulations on path to production requirements and strictly adhering to the compliance and regulatory needs.
  • Collaborating with cross functional team members as necessary and producing optimal solutions that meet data demands and standards.
  • Participating in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
  • Providing technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.
  • Working with a team of BSA, Development, QA and DevOps engineers in agile framework.
  • Anticipating, monitoring, managing and reporting all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities.
  • Acting in accordance with Risk Excellence and role model Ethical behavior and decision making as part of our Way Ahead foundation.
  • Performs other duties, as necessary.

  • Hands on development experience with strong skills in designing, developing and deploying complex applications using OLTP and OLAP based databases. 
  • Hands on expertise in Data Modeling and DB design with strong skills in performance tuning.
  • Hands on experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.
  • Hands on experience in building systems using modern, scalable, resilient, cloud native architectures.
  • Passionate for learning new skills and capabilities.
  • Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer is a plus.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Masters with 5+ or Bachelors with 8+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Experience working on enterprise application architecture and development.
  • Experience in Financial Service industry is plus.
  • Experience in agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required.
  • Strong team ethics and team player
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) both internally and with vendors.
  • Focus and desire to deliver high quality services.
  • Ability to work in a high pressured and time sensitive environment.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual
