We are looking for a candidate who will supervise and collaborate with Productions to implement on-set and post production content pipelines. Working with new and ongoing productions and their vendors to ensure technical requirements are met and maintain our standard and will satisfy all delivery requirements. Advise and support in the deployment and configuration of equipment and software. Troubleshoot technical problems with both our production partners and internally. Work with the Apple team on post production technology endeavors. Collaborate and support internal team functions and needs in regards to content pipelines, playback, media management, and workflow projects. The candidate should have experience working with 2D, 3D, stereoscopic, and equirectangular media. Possess the ability to work in a team environment to accomplish tasks that require ongoing coverage within the Post-Production Digital Media Management Group as well as the greater Apple team and production partners on various projects. Troubleshooting digital asset systems for file movement, archive, and playback. Support, operate, and maintain TV+ Technical spaces and Screening Rooms including coordinating file receipt, QC, and playback operation. Daily support of internal digital distribution pipeline, maintaining tracking spreadsheets and asset databases. Quality control of media assets, working with ongoing productions to ensure smooth and time efficient processes. Ensure all security and anti-piracy policies, protocols and approvals are followed.

  • Experience in post production, five (5) years minimum required
  • Experience working with and handling technology, production, and post production vendors.
  • A detailed understanding of offline and finishing workflows for picture and sound – including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
  • A thorough understanding of camera capture and dailies workflows.
  • Experience with virtual reality systems and software.
  • Experience with adapting and educating new technologies that alter traditional workflows.
  • Must have post production technology vendor relationships.
  • Must have knowledge of camera and finishing formats for online and delivery.
  • Must have knowledge of post production solutions for offline and online – Avid, Premiere, Baselight, Resolve, Nucoda, etc.
  • Must have worked with multiple studios and preferable networks as well for both relationships and understanding of other industry processes.
  • Understanding of Cloud workflows for Post Production.
  • Ability to learn and then educate new emerging technologies in production, animation, visual effects, and post production.
  • An appreciation for what the Apple brand stands for.
  • Ability to work within a team and as a technology educator.
  • Must be openminded to new insights, concepts, and technologies, as well as being pragmatic and innovative.
  • A positive demeanor and solution-oriented approach, as well as a good communicator.

In this role you’ll be responsible for the following: Supervising, educating, and collaborating with all productions regarding new technology implementation (on-set and in post), content pipelines, and equipment in the full process. Camera assessment and advisement on a per-project basis. Testing new applications and hardware for potential pipeline integrations. Crafting, collaborating, innovating and implementing new technologies and pipelines that satisfy new changing requirements and increase overall efficiency. Creating and maintaining relationships with technology and post production vendors as well as collaborating with procurement negotiations. Working with industry wide professional technical organizations to keep in lockstep with current and emerging technologies. Work with the Apple Team on other post production technology endeavors. Collaborating, mentoring, and working as a teammate within the AppleTV+ Original Content Post Production Team, The Video Operations Team, Security Team, Safety Team, and Production Team as well as with each Apple TV+ Original Content production. Working with the Post Production Digital Media Management Group, Post Production Screenings Group, as well as the greater Apple Team on various pipeline, playback, and workflow projects. Ensuring all security and anti-piracy policies and protocols are followed. Troubleshooting technical problems on productions and internally in AppleTV+ Original Content.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $123,200.00 and $233,000.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
