Job Summary

The Process Technician ensures safety while overseeing and maintaining the organization’s production processes. This role collaborates with the shift supervisor, operators, and site management to support the team by managing extrusion equipment, production quality, training employees, and improving production processes. They are expected to work out on the extrusion lines daily and strive for machine efficiency. They consistently demonstrate, promote and display behaviors aligned to the BOL core values.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all safety guidelines are followed (i.e., P.P.E., plant cleanliness, clear work areas, etc.)
  • Manages profile changes and run rates for each line
  • Ensure all quality specs are met on all profiles
  • Actively increases efficacy of extrusion lines and improves run rate standards
  • Develops processes related to extrusion and quality
  • Aids in continuous improvement of all areas including packaging
  • Manages Tuner and ensures all profiles are fixed to meet standards
  • Performs basic tuning and can provide input for improvement
  • Ensures proper training of operators, QA and die cleaners
  • Develops trouble shooting guides for operators
  • Communicates with Supervisors and Leads to evaluate personnel performance
  • Ability to fill in for Supervisors when absent
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year’s supervisory experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/distribution organization.
  • On- Site QA certification
  • Professional and Personable, great communicator both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in basic business (Microsoft Office) software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
