The Headlines: 

In the role of HR Director at Coors Distributing Company (“CDC”) working in Denver, CO you will be member of the CDC Senior Leadership Team. The HR Director is responsible for delivering people strategies, thought leadership, and services to effectively build the organizational capability required to achieve business goals and imperatives. The HR Director has a strong connection and collaboration with the Molson Coors HR team in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Ethics & Compliance, Employment Law, Benefits, etc. to implement HR initiatives in support of the CDC business strategy.

This position reports to the Vice President and General Manager of Coors Distributing Company and works close with the Senior Leadership Team at CDC and cross-functional partners at Molson Coors. This role will be onsite Monday – Friday. CDC is a subsidiary of Molson Coors and employs about 470 people (~60% hourly and ~40% salaried).

The Responsibilities: 

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of 5 talented colleagues, including: 2 HR Business Partners, 1 EHS Manager, 1 Sales Training Manager, and 1 HR/Safety Associate and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
  • Collaboratively partner with CDC functional leaders to build a people strategy in support of the overall business strategy
  • Lead and support the execution of all core people processes
  • Ensure personal credibility and impact through influencing others, leading people, and communicating clearly
  • Partner with leaders and employees to advance our diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that allows our people and business to grow and thrive
  • Create and maintain relationships with HR team at Molson Coors through collaboration and teamwork
  • Act as executive sponsor of CDC’s three cross-functional employee resource teams that focus on 1) Community Impact; 2) DEI; and 3) Employee Engagement/Recognition
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to leaders within CDC to ensure proper support on employee relations issues
  • Ensure timely completion of investigations into employee relations issues and identify opportunities to further advance manager/employee relationships
  • In partnership with the CDC leadership team, diagnose current and future organizational capability needs and build a growth plan that is sequenced appropriately to the timing of business imperatives
  • Entrench new work practices aligned to the business strategy through appropriate change methodology and organizational anchoring
  • Lead and ensure full leverage of integrated people management processes to grow talent and drive performance
  • Develop insights from people data (engagement survey, exit interview, etc.) to inform talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
  • Lead the learning and development initiatives among the CDC team

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You are an authentic leader – you value and respect differences and believe diversity with inclusion is the key to collaboration and a winning team culture
  • 5-10 years of HR experience
  • 2-3 years of experience managing HR professionals
  • Strong generalist experience with a focus on leadership-level partnerships
  • Proven ability to create presence and have influence in the business and apply advocacy skills to position HR as a strategic business partner
  • Working knowledge of federal and state law/regulations (Colorado) relating to the human resources field
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, for example, identifying and diagnosing performance gaps and recommending solutions to close these gaps
  • Ability to influence at various levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop and manage the execution of people-related projects and measure the impact to the business

Job Posting Salary Range: (US/Colorado) $115,800 - $166,400
