Position Description

  • Analyze customer behavior to drive understanding of current and future customer and market needs
  • Conduct / utilize market research and competitive analyses (e.g., strength, weaknesses, strategies) to drive understanding of business requirements and development of marketing strategy
  • Analyze member / customer data to identify and analyze customer/market trends, themes, issues (e.g., call center data, customer survey data, functional health checks)
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Healthcare Reform / PPACA, state contracts, CMS)
  • Define target markets or customer groups and their specific requirements (e.g., segmentation)
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable business strategies/goals and how they can address customer requirements and marketing efforts
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable products and services (e.g., features, benefits, audiences, differentiators)
  • Develop understanding of applicable sales channels (e.g., consultants, brokers, trade groups) to drive marketing strategy
  • Perform analysis of customer and business requirements to drive development of marketing strategies (e.g., budgets)
  • Develop / implement long and short-term marketing strategies / goals in alignment with applicable business goals (e.g., revenue goals, membership goals, conversion metrics, campaign budgets)
  • Develop marketing strategies that differentiate us in the marketplace and position us as market leaders (e.g., unique capabilities, networks, branding)
  • Provide thought leadership to drive development of innovative, industry-leading marketing strategies / programs / initiatives-Influence / advocate new marketing strategies / initiatives in order to drive behavior change and meet business goals
  • Leverage / maximize use of new and emerging marketing distribution channels when developing marketing strategies (e.g., social media)
  • Align marketing initiatives / campaigns with applicable business goals / objectives, as well as the needs of identified target populations / clients
  • Develop and implement marketing campaign tactics (e.g., project plans, budgets, test plans, creative execution)
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, with occasional nights, weekends and overtime
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Marketing, Communications, or Business
  • 3+ years of Health Care Marketing experience
  • Experience in a Health Insurance background
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel (data sorting and filtering); Microsoft Word (documentation), Microsoft PowerPoint (create presentations), and Microsoft Outlook (send, receive emails, and scheduling meetings)
  • Must have access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and / or patient sites within a designated area
  • Must be able to work in the Central and Eastern portion of the State; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; with occasional weekends and evenings; work with possible weekly scheduled adjustments
  • Familiarity with community outreach and marketing events
  • IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) knowledge, is a plus
  • Experience with Behavioral Health
  • Sales Force experience
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
