Jr Personnel Security Specialist

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

We are seeking a Junior Level Personnel Security Specialist to support security operations, with a focus on personnel security administration and SCI access management. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in personnel security practices, supporting a range of security processes, regulations, and customer service needs. 

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Jr Personnel Security Specialist: $80,000 to $110,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Jr Personnel Security Specialist Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide advanced personnel security administration support, ensuring adherence to all relevant manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee SCI access procedures, including E-QIP and JPAS, ensuring accurate and timely processing of security access requests.
  • Administer and maintain strict control and accountability of SCI materials, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Apply integrated security services across Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, SCI Physical Security, TEMPEST, and Industrial Security.
  • Utilize expertise in all special security Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
  • Deliver training to individuals or groups on personnel security requirements, ensuring full compliance and understanding of relevant protocols. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Jr Personnel Security Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in personnel security, including:
  • In-depth knowledge of special security ICDs, SCI access procedures, and HSPD-12.
  • Familiarity with personnel security applications such as E-QIP and JPAS.
  • Experience supporting SSO and SCIF operations, SCI Physical Security, TEMPEST, and Industrial Security protocols.
  • Exceptional customer service, strong communication abilities for training and guidance, and thorough knowledge of security access management tools and applications.
  • Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
